Last week (09/08), WhatsApp announced new changes to the platform’s privacy tools.

According to the company, over the years, new layers of privacy have been added to offer the user several ways to protect their messages.

In order to make the user’s conversation more secure and private, WhatsApp reported that it will allow users to:

• Leave groups silently, so only admins will know that a user has left the group.
• Choose which contacts will be able to see them online when starting a conversation.
• Block screenshots for single view messages.

The changes are a sign of the growing concern of companies and organizations with the issues of transparency and protection of personal data.
