Débora advises innovative and technology-based companies, focusing mainly on drafting, analyzing and negotiating contracts that involve venture capital and exploitation of intangible assets – such as software, data, technology or know-how. Moreover, she also advises more traditional organizations on their digital transformation and on research and development (R&D) projects.
With experience in intellectual property matters, Débora helps protect and exploit intellectual property rights, including trademark registration, negotiation and conflict resolution involving trademarks, software, domain names, and copyright works.
Débora also advises companies on privacy and data protection matters, helping them adapt to the Brazilian General Data Protection Law (LGPD) and providing general legal advice on the subject.
Débora is currently responsible for our firm’s activities in Lisbon, Portugal. She is a Certified Information Privacy Professional – Europe (CIPP/E) by the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP), the world’s most prominent entity of privacy and data protection professionals. She served as the Vice-Presidente of the Startup Law Commission of the Brazilian Bar Association, Pernambuco Section, and was also a member of the Intellectual Property Commission.
